Victim Story: Shame on HDFC Bank: They Gave My Bank Statement to Wife By Forging My Signature

We have started a new column where we are going to feature victim stories related to you. We as victims of women, victim of 498a, victim of maintenance, victim of Indian law. In my case my wife filed 498a case against me which is still going on and then she filed maintenance case on me. When I went for their evidence I was surprised to see that they have presented my bank statement to them. I wrote few mail to HDFC and here is what really happened.

Hello there,

This is to bring to your notice that I had lodged a complaint to HDFC grievance redressal after HDFC Chhi****ra branch issued my bank statement to a third party without my consent. The same was produced against me in court by my wife in a maintenance case going against me to grant maintenance to her. Grievance cell reverted back to me saying I only signed the request form and asked for the statement, which is crap as I would not take my statement and produce it against me in court. When I asked for the document I was directed to contact Mr. branch manager of Chh***ara branch.

I would like to inform you that when I went to Chh****ara branch I was treated in a very bad way by bank manager and was about to be manhandled. When I asked for copy of request they said it can not be shown to me and would be sent to my home branch. When I saw the request copy I found that my signature has been forged and HDFC has issued my bank statement to a third party. I would request you to look into this matter and file an FIR against your bank officials and third party who forged my signature. This is a very bad example of forgery done by Mr. branch manager and his staff and I would let everyone know on social media if there is no action taken on the same. I am very afraid to bank with HDFC now as tomorrow anyone can withdraw money from my account with my forged signature.

I am sure there would be a system activity recorded if my bank statement was issued in a proper way and you may easily trace that. My bank statement was issued by A***h G****a of Ch*****ara HDFC who is from NON RETAIL and very close to my father in law. Please look into this matter and revert to me as I have already waited for a very long time.

I am really not sure as why HDFC bank did this to harm me and now I do not have any choice but to leave my job and I would still need to fight the case. It is a shame to see that my wife just went and filed a false complaint against me and I am not able to file a case on them when it was genuinely done. I am going to meet police commissioner soon and would get this registered as FRI for sure. HDFC is not able to understand a simple thing that I am not that dumb that I would go and get my statement and produce it in court against me.
