Man Posted Status About His Wife and Then This Happened..

A man from Indore facing dowry harassment case filed by his wife was fuming in anger and then he decided to post an update against his wife on Facebook. He did that and next day he found police men waiting for him at this main door with a complaint from his wife under section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) . Yes you heard it right he was booked under section 509 which says something like this,

Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman.—Whoever, intending to insult the modesty of any woman, utters any word, makes any sound or gesture, or exhibits any object, intending that such word or sound shall be heard, or that such gesture or object shall be seen, by such woman, or intrudes upon the privacy of such woman, shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.

A 26-year-old man was booked by Juni Indore police for posting status on facebook against his own wife. According to the police, following a tiff with wife infuriated Rajdeva posted an objectionable comment against her on social media. When the comment came into notice, the victim lodged a complaint with the police.

In-charge, Juni Indore police station, Pawan Singhal said “Recently Rajdeva had posted a comment on Facebook on the basis of which we registered a case against him.”
He added saying that earlier the victim woman had lodged a dowry harassment case against Rajdeva’s family. A case was registered against them under IPC Section 498A. “Nearly three months back the woman had approached us that the family members are harassing her for dowry. We had then registered a case in the matter,” said Singhal.

Shocking , isnt it? Now men in India will have no freedom of speech and would think 1000 times before posting anything about his own wife. Long live India.
